Buidhe Island (Eilean Buidhe, meaning the yellow island) pronounced Buie, is a family run B&B and self catering business in the heart of Argyll. We offer  relaxed waterside accommodation, on the edge of stunning Loch Melfort. Ideally located to explore Argyll from land and sea. Situated in the holiday village of Craobh Haven (Craobh meaning tree, and pronounced croov)  we are well serviced with facilities and located in an area rich with wildlife and natural beauty. We have two properties for self-catering, The Pier house, sleeping 10 and a Chalet, Kelpie, sleeping 4. Both properties have beautiful sea views. The owners Helen and Mark live onsite and are usually on hand.

Kelpie is a wee chalet with fantastic sea views. The chalet is an ideal base to get closer to nature, relax and enjoy Argyll.

THINGS TO DO

Paddle Boarding and sit on top kayak hire

Hire of paddle boards and sit on top kayaks is available from Craobh Haven Watersports. Buoyancy aids provided, this can be arranged on arrival, or contact Craobh Watersports.

Arduaine Garden

 

Arduaine gardens is located a short drive away next to Loch Melfort Hotel. the gardens are owned by the National Trust and have many plants of interest. 

Wild Swimming 

 

We are perfectly located to have a quick dip in the Loch before breakfast, if you are feeling brave! 

Horse Riding

 

Lunga stables offers horse riding lessons and trail rides for ages 6 and above. located close to Buidhe Island its a great place to learn a new skill.

Boat Trips

 

Argyll is the perfect place to go on a boat adventure. Boat trips leave Craobh Marina daily and can be booked in advance with the providers. 

Local Restaurants 

Argyll has some of the best natural produce in Scotland. Local establishments can provide lunch and evening meals, subject to seasonal opening times.
